Sirius Radio, How I Love Thee

I have had my Sirius radio for well over a year now, and its still like the new toy at Christmas.  Whether I am streaming over the web at work, blasting poolside, or most importantly - driving, it is superb.  And since I am an NFL junky, I get my fix with every game's audio broadcast.  Even the score is on the screen for the whole game.  You'd think I worked for Sirius or something, but I doesn't!

Since I have Sirius, I don't need or search for MP3s anymore.  The variety and random music play makes it treat knowing I will hear some very rare, live music I wouldn't normally expect to.  Did I mention no commercials?  Yeah... worth EVERY PENNY right there.

Below is a list of some of my favorite ROCK stations on Sirius that I listen to regularly.  Each station has a list of ten (10) songs that came on at random while I listened over the course of two (2) days.

Tivo vs Sirius

If you were on a deserted island and could either have Tivo or Sirius radio, what would you pick? Personally I would have to pick the satellite radio. I've had mine for about 9 months now and I am truly addicted. Not only that, but my search for MP3 files has stopped entirely. I don't need music files anymore due to their overwhelming variety of music. Don't get me wrong, Tivo is amazing too. The flexibility of what you can do with recording and playing shows blows my mind. Even copying recorded shows over your home network (even wireless) to your computer and backing up to DVD. Very cool.

Maybe if TV shows were better, Tivo would have more of a chance to beat out Sirius to be on my private island.

The fitted sheet

Not to add to any male stereotype, but I cannot for the life of me fold a fitted sheet. For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, the fitted sheet is the bottom part of your bed sheets with the elastic on the corners (hence "fitting" around the bed). My wife shows me how this is easily done. I truly pay attention when she is showing me, but alas, I am still partially retarded trying to do this task.
